URGENT – Termination of exemption of work or occupation permit for non-citizen spouses of Mauritian citizens.
Effective 28th March 2019, and further to the Non-Citizens (Employment Restriction) Amendment No. 2 Regulations 2019, non-citizens being the spouse of a citizen of Mauritius are no longer exempted from the regulations and thus need to apply for Work and Occupation Permits.
Existing non-citizen employees and their employers, have until the 28th June 2019, to apply and get a work or occupation permit.
