If you are concerned by unpaid rents during the period from March to August 2020, following the appearance of the Covid-19 global pandemic, PLCJ invites you to resort to its payment staggering agreement template regarding the unpaid rents for this period.
This agreement will enable you to set out the manner in which the payment of rent due during this period will be staggered in accordance with the provisions of the new Covid-19 (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020, Section 30 which provides that the non-payment of rent due for this period is not a breach of the lease agreement, provided that the rent is paid in full in instalments by 31 December 2021.
